"Dear Guests,

On behalf of President Professor Thomas L Magnanti and all board members of our University, I would like to welcome at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) the second edition of the international conference on Complex Systems Design & Management Asia (CSD&M Asia). In the complex world we live in today, all kinds of systems interact at an incredible speed. Serious problems happen if no thorough knowledge or no good design are anticipated. Our University, built in collaboration with MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA) and ZJU (Zhejiang University, China) opened her doors in 2012. It aims precisely at addressing the need for qualified systems engineers and architects for an optimized control of complex technological systems. Followed by its first edition held in 2014 at the National University of Singapore (NUS), CSD&M Asia 2016 will be organized at our brand new campus in Changi. We are glad to host this international event and to welcome all participants and colleagues to SUTD.”
